Cataract surgeries with the method of phacoemulsification. Cataract surgery is performed under local anesthesia (drops of anesthetic eye drops). After the cataract is removed, the intraocular lens is inserted.

At very high levels a combination of surgery and laser can be done. Part of e.g. of myopia is surgically corrected and the rest or residual astigmatism with a laser.

Operations with placement of lens intraocular lenses. In these cases, the natural lens is not removed. The intraocular lens is surgically placed inside the eye, behind the pupil, like a kind of contact lens on the natural lens of the eye (posterior chamber intraocular lenses). These operations aim at the correction of high myopia – hyperopia.

Refractive surgery

They are the most common surgeries for the Correction of myopia, hyperopia, astigmatism and presbyopia with 7th generation EXCIMER LASER, with the LASIK method or PRK and the use of Femtosecond Laser.

In the last 20 years, lasers have replaced mechanical tools, and with the help of computers, they provide high-precision results. The purpose of these procedures is usually to get rid of the immediate dependence on the glasses or contact lenses.

The procedure takes a few minutes and is done under local anesthesia (drops). At the end of the operation, a protective soft contact lens is placed, for 3-5 days, until the area where the laser was healed heals.

Glaucoma surgeries

The operation is performed under local anesthesia and aims to regulate intraocular pressure. The purpose of the operation is to create a new permanent passage for the removal of aqueous humor.

Strabismus surgeries

Strabismus surgery is generally quite effective. in these cases the operation is not only intended to improve the functional problem but also the aesthetic.

Retinal detachment surgeries – vitrectomies.
